Eyeshadow for your eye color

Last week I upload on my youtube channel a video no how to accent the brown eyes and since then I received tone of questions on how to accent other eye color with makeup and I felt a bit more useful to write a post about it a bit more visual to find the right color to chose and accent your eye color,

I am not going to talk about accent your eyes rather that accent your eye color, something that I don’t thing is clear enough to do it in the right way and not just missing the point, but with this I am not saying that you should use just these eyeshadow colors but if you specifically you want to accent your eye color you do this technique otherwise you can use any eyeshadow color of your desire,

We all have seen these makeups where the woman with blue eyes wears blue eyeshadow in attempt to accent that blue eye color or a green eye woman doing her waterline in green too, well what we are creating is a diversion on our eyes creating a full area to focus on instead of creating the attention to the eye color, can be cute but we are missing the point,

The best way to accent your eye color is to choose the opposite color of your eyes on the color wheel, that way we will not just pop our eye color but also we will give all the attention to them, see the different?

This is a very useful color wheel, it has a large range or shades to choose from and find the right eye color, then just go to the opposite side of the wheel to find the perfect color to accent your eye color, but don’t be to focus on one color, find a range and that will work too,

Rueda de colores

For example the green glue eyes from the bottom part of the wheel, we have found the red and orange to be the opposite color, but don’t stick to just one color, the pale pinks, corals, earthy tones also works…

For the pure blue eyes as a opposite color we find the red orangy colors, but do not stick to those again, move around a bit and see that golds, olive, or khaki also works good…

For the hazel caramel olive eyes, something between a green and a brown eyes will work good the range between pinks and purples, but also you can choose a bit more to one side or to other…

For the brown eyes works very good the pink and purple shades but more in the blue side that on the red side, also depends of the undertone your brown eyes has, more red or more yellow, just move up or down on the wheel,

And the last but not least the green eyes, for these eyes the perfect shade to accent the color is the pink shade, from the softer to the deeper burgundy shades, but also can move a bit to more red or wine tone shades,
