Today I wanted to talk about a specific matter, a matter that brings so many questions and that not always is clear the meaning of it, we will be talking about color correctors, concealer with a different undertones that helps to cancel different skin tones,
Let’s start from the beginning, concealer are products with higher coverage and ticker texture that helps to cover imperfections in a more detail way, that’s the foundation, that’s the base of the concealer for the skin tone concealer to unify the skin tone imperfections, with a lighter skin tone concealer we will highlight and for those color imperfections we will use different color correctors to blend it that imperfections,

As a makeup artist I’ve been asked so many times “how do I cover my dark circles?” “how can I cover my spots?” etc… a specific questions that can be solve with specific color correctors, we will go through all those types of color corrects, shades and uses, so we can get the best of them,
I will start with my personal opinion, I prefer the thicker texture for these color correctos to have a higher coverage and better blend, always with a cream texture add to it to make it easier to work,
We all have been seeing those different color concealer in different stores and brands but we do not know what are they for, let’s begin:
First color corrector is the green, this color cancel the redness of your face, so they are perfect for stops, redness and rosacea, they are a bit difficult to blend so I always suggest to add on top of this green concealer a skin tone concealer to blend out the finish,
The next color corrector is the yellow shade, this shade will cancel the purple shades from under the eyes, for those deep and intense dark circle will be cancel and concealer with this type of shade, also I suggest to add a skin tone shade on top,
Next is the orange color concealer that will cancel the blue shade of the dark circle areas, those more genetic or deeper dark circle will be blend out and cancel with this shade, as always add a skin tone concealer on top,
And as last concealer a mixed between two, mixing yellow and orange we will have the salmon shade, this is the most general shade cause will work in purple and blue dark circles, this is the most general and most used color corrector shade to cancel the dark circles,
I suggest to use the yellow and orange to the most intense shades of those two and the salmon for a most general conceal of the dark circle,
All of these concealers has a special under tone, because of that they need an extra application of a skin tone concealer on top, that will complete the blend out of the process, but make sure you add just a bit of product and work it on the area before adding more cause the dark circle area is very delicate and can create crease effect so easily,
So in general idea the color correctors cancel some shade of the skin and a final skin tone concealer to blend them in,
