Today I want to show you a very special brand for me, and I said is very special cause it comes from a college from Youtube, a beauty guru that has being uploading videos for long time in her very successful channel MakeupGeek with more than 700.000 subscribers, Marlena is her name and now she has started her own makeup brand.
That´s how Makeup Geek has born, a line created with hope, much work and with all of Marlena knowledges and taste.
And for the past two months I´ve been trying some of their products and I want to tell you what I think about them.
Let´s start with the shipping package, it came in a box with all the products nicely protected with bubble paper to avoid damaging them.
So they got in perfect conditions, no damages.
I had the opportunity of trying three lipsticks with a very creamy texture and in a very smart way of using just one type of box they are generic box with no names on it just an open space on the top so you can see through the base of the lipstick.
Also 9 eyeshadows with different finishes and intensities, all in pans and with coming in a envelope type of packaging with the same type of policy with no names on the box and two open spaces, on the front with a plastic protection where you can see the eyeshadow tone and one open space on the back so you can read the name.
And last three eyeliners all with different finishes and tones, that has the same generic box with open space on the bottom to see the name of the tone.
Let´s talk about the eyeshadows in groups of three, we will start with Moondust, Cosmopolitan and Envy.
Moondust is a taupe eyeshadow with silver flecks and a metallic finish, very beautiful and with a great pigmentation. Very similar to Satin Taupe by Mac but a bit darker.
Cosmopolitan is a very nice eyeshadow with a rose and gold eyeshadow with golden flecks and shimmer finish, very warm and striking.
Envy is a very deep green eyeshadow with metallic finish, a very deep forest green, phenomenal for a smokey eye.
The next eyeshadows are Cocoa Bear, Shimma shimma and Hipster.
Cocoa Bear is a red brown tone with matte finish, to give warmth to a smokey eye.
Shimma shimma is a champagne metallic eyeshadow very shimmer and with a touch of glamour.
Hipster is a sand tone eyeshadow with a soft taupe and light shimmer finish, very nice and natural.
Next three eyeshadows are Sensuous, Simply Marlena and Bada Bing.
Sensuous is a purple eyeshadow with flecks silver shimmer finish, very nice and perfect for brown eyes.
Simply Marlena is a pink eyeshadow with purple undertone and gold flecks, is very nice and not wonder why Marlena´s favorite.
Bada Bin is a deep brown eyeshadow with gold flecks and soft glitter finish, very very nice and the main attention of a night out makeup.
In general ideas I really like the quality of the eyeshadows, I love very much the tones and the pigmentation is amazing, they are easy to work, easy to blend, just with some of them need just the tiniest bit of primer to pop up the color, and the price is amazing 6$.
Let´s start with the gel eyeliners, Amethyst, Rave and Mobster, with a very nice and smooth texture but with a firm consistency, very easy to work and gives a very nice intensity and smoothness.
Amethyst is a saturated violet/purple eyeliner with a metallic matte finish, amazing!
Rave is a brown gold tone with light shimmer finish. Very special and particular.
Mobster is a deep chocolate matte tone perfect to substitute the deep black eyeliner for a more soft eyeliner finish.
Without a doubt a great quality eyeliner and I´ve been loving to use, it comes in a glass container and a screw lip that close perfectly and doesn´t leave the eyeliner to get dry. And the cost is 8$.
And the last are the lipsticks with a black packaging, with the name of the tone on the bottom part and with a clear window on the top of the lid that let you see through and see the lipstick color, with a very creamy texture. The lid fix perfectly.
The three tones are Fearless, Famous and Adorable.
Fearless is a hot pink with a mixed of purple with a very creamy texture that sets very nicely on the lips. With a high pigmentation as you can see.
Famous is a bright magenta purple again with a very creamy texture and easy to wear.
Adorable is a creamy pink tone very soft and delicate, with a nice intensity and as well creamy and easy to wear.
As you all know I am not so into lipsticks but these lipsticks has an amazing creamy texture and they feel so nice on the lips, so I like to wear them and the price is also good 8$ compact and 6$ in pan.
In general ideas I´ve been loving trying this brand, with a high quality and very very affordable prices, with a very nice, firm and quality packaging, it feels very nice and it looks great much much better than other brands that charge the same for these products or even more expensive.
With good coverage and pigmentation and without a doubt I would love to try more products of this brand.
No doubt one of the best eyeshadows and at the best prices that I had tried in long time!

Las sombras me han parecido preciosas, pero el eyeline en tono violeta es sin duda el producto que más me ha gustado.
